The Top 10 Haute List

I think it's as good a time as any to list my top ten favorite yarns to knit with. In no particular order...and may I add, yarns I want to knit with as of today, tomorrow could be a different story.

1. Rowan Calmer
2. Sublime's cashmere merino silk aran or dk
3. Malabrigo
4. Tilli Tomas Pure + Simple Silk
5. Debbie Bliss Pure Cashmere
6. Jade Sapphire Mongolian Cashmere
7. Blue Sky Alpaca Silk
8. Manos of Uruguay
9. Koigu/Claudia Handpaints/Louet gems (same yarn, different colorist)
10.Art Yarns Cashmere

So as we can plainly see...I enjoy knitting with obscenely expensive silk or cashmere. Silk...Cashmere...silk...cashmere...some wool...silk...cashmere...

Paired with Susanne's Ebony circulars and I am in a blissful state. Give me some sweat pants, a sleeping little boy and a pug curled up on the couch with me...nirvana reached.
I love my Son's feet...

I've started the Urban Aran Cardigan. The Paton's pattern out of Lamb's Pride Brown Sheep. Don't like knitting it thus far. I've also started a Vodka & Tonic with Diet Tonic and Absolut Ruby Red and a Key lime. We'll see who wins.
If I wasn't such a flummoxed chick with sticks, I'd have this sweater done in a week tops. Chunky yarn, size 10 needles, zippidydooda. Instead, I've spent the last 12 hours wringing my hands and squinting at the pattern.

My parting thought...I heart Tivo.
