I Need Sleep.

Well, I am making some head way on Lizard Ridge. Tried to start Icarus last night and tore it out 3 times until I threw it across the room. I think I am just so exhausted from the Holidays, everyone being violently ill in the family, that I cannot concentrate. Funny, today I sat in my store literally vegetating. I even felt my tongue hanging out of my mouth at one point. My eyes glazed over. Shoulders slumped. Customers ignored me, probably out of fear. Usually my personality fills up the room like a Tazmanian devil. But today, nothing. They probably thought I was either dying or a heroin addict sitting in a knitting shop looking at all the pretty colors.
One customer came in and we got to chatting, she said she had all this yarn in her stash and she needed some patterns to make sweaters out of them. Then she said this, I swear this is the truth "I need to start using up my stash because I am not buying any more yarn for 9 months". My eyes widened and my heart started to move alittle faster "Oh, tell me you are not doing the 'Knit from your stash 07'? "Yep! I've got another week to buy some yarn then its all over!" Gulp. So I asked her if she had read a comment from a crazy yarn shop owner mouthing off on "W@#$% K%^&s" blog about how what a bad idea this was...she said she had...then I told her it was me. She seemed less than pleased. But I did feel mildly vindicated! Here is someone who lives in Blacksburg that isn't going to buy yarn from me starting January 1st. because she was inspired by "Knit from your stash 07". Thanks alot to you two for coming up with such a great idea! Yes, I know you can do and say what ever you want on your blog...regardless of the consequences! @#$%%^&&*&^%$##@@!!!!!
