With Pleasure, I Introduce to you, Purl.

Yesterday Bfriend and I decided to drive to Roanoke to do some shopping at Fresh Market. We like the Hummus, the frozen pizza from NYC, and the Godiva Creme Brulee Coffee etc. As we were driving away, Mimi called to tell me that she had talked to a family in Roanoke selling 2 black pugs for $350, they both have these Belly hernias. So I thought to myself, Self? That seems cheap. Maybe I'll get them both and call one Addi and the other Purl. So I called them and told them I'd be right over. We walked in to this very cramped house with 4 screaming, screeching rather children, as one of the pugs of the pair was being sold and taken away. The woman goes over to the cage and pulls out a terrified pug, clinging to her sweater, ears back, tail under. She hands her to me and tells me she has some sort of intestinal hernia but the Vet says she'll be fine. And I can have her for free, if I want. Now I, being the "lover of all pugs", when offered a free pug, well, take the pug and run! Of course,I keep expecting her to drop over dead. But as soon as we got her home, she settled in and is the sweetest, most loving animal I have ever known. And in 48 hours she has only gone peepee and poopoo outside. Sleeps in her crate at night. Brilliant. And did I mention she was free? We went by the pet store on the way home to get her stuff and they had a black pug there for sale for $1600. And in this life, Baby, there ain't no guarantees. That pug is no healthier, I 'll tell you that.

So I've picked out some beautiful cashmere stash yarn to make her a sweater. Purl is only 2 lbs and needs a pretty soft sweater to accent her eyes. And cashmere of course. Only the best for that little black purl of the orient...
Baby is a bit jealous, Purl must be on me, sleeping on me at all times. And Baby wants to be the only Baby around these here parts. He'll get over it and in no time they will be the best of friends.

Are not Puppies and Kittens adorable? Otherwise we'd probably drown them in a bucket.
